WHY CHOOSE CASH BASED PHYSICAL THERAPY?
ONE-ON-ONE TIME WITH YOUR PHYSICAL THERAPIST
Most Insurance based Physical Therapy clinics are very busy. Usually the number of patients in the clinic at one time outnumber the available Physical Therapists which means your entire appointment isn’t just for you. Due to low reimbursement rates from insurance companies and the overhead needed to communicate with the insurance companies, insurance based Physical Therapy clinics require their Physical Therapists to see multiple patients at one time.
Since SOAR Physical Therapy is a cash-based clinic, we do not require the amount of overhead that most insurance based clinics require which results in the ability to schedule only one patient per Physical Therapist at a time.
WHO IS PROVIDING YOUR TREATMENT WHILE YOU'RE AT THE CLINIC - A PHYSICAL THERAPIST OR SUPPORT STAFF?
Many busy clinics employ support staff who aren’t licensed Physical Therapists to assist with your physical therapy treatment. This decreases the amount of quality time spent with your Physical Therapist, and the continuity of care from your provider is diminished from having to switch between multiple people during a treatment session.
Since SOAR Physical Therapy only schedules one patient per Physical Therapist at a time, we do not require the need of support staff to assist the Physical Therapists in the treatment of their patients; therefore, all patients get quality one-on-one care each visit with their Physical Therapist.
Insurance companies are not non-profit organizations, so they don’t always have a patient’s best interest in mind. Patients are able to see a Physical Therapist without a referral from an MD, but there are still a few insurance plans that require a referral or even an authorization which means you can’t start treatment until they say you can. Many insurance plans also have visit limits or markers. If you reach your visit limit or marker, the insurance won’t cover any more visits even if you may not have reached your own personal goals. Most insurances also have high deductibles before they start covering any of the services provided, so you would practically be paying cash for physical therapy services anyways, just not receiving the benefits of the one-on-one care you would receive from a cash based clinic.
Since SOAR Physical Therapy is a cash-based clinic, our treatment plans are not limited by what the insurance companies say. The patient's plan of care is driven by the patient, Physical Therapist, and referring medical professionals.
HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO GO TO PHYSICAL THERAPY?
Cash based clinics like SOAR Physical Therapy average fewer visits than insurance based clinics due to the quality one-on-one care and personalized treatments that are able to be provided each and every visit. This results in less money being spent on physical therapy, especially for those who haven’t met their insurance deductible yet.
